52. APPLY AND ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS FROM AREA AGENCY ON AGING REGION ONE INC FOR THE PROVISION OF CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES Approve the application and acceptance of grant funds from the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Region One, Inc., in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,473,172 for the purpose of funding the Senior Adult Independent Living (SAIL) program which provides Case Management Services to over 4,000 individuals throughout Maricopa County. The term of this grant award begins on July 1, 2010 and ends on June 30, 2011. This action also authorizes the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The Fiscal Year 2011 Human Services Department estimated indirect cost rate is 18% and the current negotiated approved U.S. Department of Health and Human Services indirect cost rate is 16.2%. The total grant funds are expected to be in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,473,172, of which $14,996 is for capital purchases which are not subject to indirect cost recovery. The estimated indirect cost amount is $225,879. The allowable indirect cost recovery amount is $203,291. The unallowable indirect cost recovery amount is $22,588 which is absorbed through departmental administrative spending reductions. This grant does not impact Maricopa County General funds. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. (C-22-10-050-3-00)
