56. MOU WITH LODESTAR DAY RESOURCE CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACCESS POINT Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lodestar Day Resource Center, a community-based organization, and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to establish Lodestar Day Resource Center as an Access Point for purposes of Workforce Development activities. This non-financial MOU is effective upon signature by both parties and will expire June 30, 2011. Access Points are a network of faith-based and community-based organizations that provide residents with a location where job seekers can access abbreviated One Stop Career Center services. As an Access Point, Lodestar Day Resource Center will assist youth and adult job seekers to access employment-related services to assist them in obtaining employment. This MOU will create a partnership to help Maricopa County residents who are unable to travel to a One Stop Career Center to access services through an Access Point that is located in the community.
