38. SALE OF MODULAR BUILDING TO CATHOLIC CHARITIES COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR USE AS A HEAD START CLASSROOM Pursuant to A.R.S. 11-251-9, approve the sale to a qualifying non-profit for one dollar of a County owned 24’X60’ double-wide modular building located at 201 E. Centre, Buckeye, Arizona, via quitclaim deed to Catholic Charities Community Services, a 501c(3) tax exempt, non-profit corporation which is a sub-recipient (delegate agency) to Maricopa County’s federal Head Start grant. This action was reviewed and approved by the Facility Review Committee on March 25, 2010. Due to the age and depreciation of the modular building, the depleted value, and the tenant improvements that have altered the original design, this building has no value and would create a negative cost to the County to dispose of the structure. The County is unable to locate a VIN number on the modular or the Title to the building. Therefore, Facilities Management has determined that the most cost efficient way to dispose of the modular building is to pass all interest, rights, and obligations via quitclaim deed to the user, Catholic Charities Community Services, for use as a Head Start classroom.
