27. AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF TEMPE Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 1 to Lease Agreement L-7414 between the City of Tempe (Lessor) and Maricopa County (Lessee) to extend the lease at the West Tempe Multi-Generational Center, 715 W. 5th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281. The Amendment will extend the term of the Lease for ten years and will commence on July 1, 2020 and expire June 30, 2030. The County shall pay the City $1.00 (One Dollar) per year. Additionally, Notices (Paragraph 15) addresses for both the Human Services and Real Estate Departments will be updated on the lease documents. Either Party may terminate the lease with not less than 90-days prior written notice to the other; and may be terminated pursuant to A.R.S. §38-511. All other terms and conditions will remain the same and in full force and effect. The Maricopa County Head Start program utilizes 3 classrooms and uses shared playground area to provide Head Start program services to 28 children (8 toddlers and 20 3-5 year old’s).
