49. AMENDMENT TO THE IGA WITH THE CITY OF AVONDALE Approve Amendment #1 to the expenditure Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Avondale and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department (MCHSD). The County will exercise its option to renew the agreement for a one year renewal, based on Contractor performance. The amendment will extend the agreement term to June 30, 2015 and provide $112,495 for the provision of Crisis Case Management and Financial Assistance Services for the Central West Community Service Area. The amendment will be effective July 1, 2014. Expenditures totaling $63,823 under this Agreement will be reimbursed from an Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security DE111071001, (C-22-10-083-3). The remaining $48,672 will be reimbursed from HSD’s appropriated general funds. This Amendment does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. (C-22-13-071-3-01)

29. SERVICE CONTRACT WITH TEMPE COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY Approve a Service Contract between Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA), an Arizona corporation and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is for the Contractor to make payments to landlords, mortgage companies or utility companies, on behalf of eligible clients that require financial assistance. Through this contract, Contractor shall be reimbursed for the face value of the checks written for support services for eligible program participants. Contract term is July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. Expenditures under this agreement will be reimbursed from an Intergovernmental Agreement (C-22-10-083-3) with the State of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security (DES) DE111071001. This agreement does not contain any county general funds. TCAA was the successful responder for a Bid Quote (PQ140018) for Check Writing Services, issued by the Maricopa County Office of Procurement Services (OPS) on June 10, 2014. The bid quote is for the check writing fees only. OPS awarded the bid quote to the TCAA. (C-22-15-012-3-00)
