62. IGA WITH HIGLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR HEAD START SERVICES TO PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES Approve the non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Higley Unified School District and Maricopa County Human Services Department to collaboratively provide the Maricopa County Head Start program with services to preschool children with disabilities, as defined in A.R.S. §15-761, who are enrolled in the Head Start program. The Agreement is a three year agreement effective July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. This agreement applies to preschool children with disabilities from ages three to five years that are not eligible for kindergarten in accordance with requirements of the local School District and the Improving Head Start Readiness Act of 2007. 43. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH HIGLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR HEAD START SERVICES TO PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES Approve Amendment No. 1 to the non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Higley Unified School District and Maricopa County Human Services Department to include language requested by the Higley School District that clarifies responsibilities to collaboratively provide disability services to children in the Head Start program. The amendment is effective upon signature and expires June 30, 2013. The amendment ensures that both the County and the Higley school district adhere to the same language as it relates to the general requirements, subcontracting, non-liability and religious activities sections of the Contract. The language requested does not alter the substance of the original agreement and was approved by the BOS Legal Counsel. (C-22-11-005-3-01)
