56. CONTRACT WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR YEAR 2 OF ARRA EXPANSION HEAD START SERVICES Approve a Contract between Catholic Charities Community Services and Maricopa County through its Human Services Department, in the not-to-exceed amount of $255,700. The purpose of this Contract is to provide a second year of comprehensive child development and family support services to 36 low-income children 3-5 years of age and their families in western Maricopa County. This Contract is effective from September 30, 2010 through September 29, 2011. This Contract is funded by an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Head Start and requires Catholic Charities to provide a 25 percent match (non-federal share). This is the second year of the ARRA of 2009 Head Start Expansion grant, a two-year grant that ends September 29, 2011. The contract does not include any County general funds. (C-22-11-029-3-00)
