37. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH TEMPE COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACCESS POINT Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Tempe Community Action Agency, a non-profit organization and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to establish Tempe Community Action Agency as an Access Point for purposes of Workforce Development activities. This non-financial MOU is effective upon signature by both parties and will expire June 30, 2012. Access Points are a network of faith-based and community based organizations that provide residents with a location where job seekers can access abbreviated One Stop Career Center services. As an Access Point, Tempe Community Action Agency will assist youth and adult job seekers to access employment-related services to assist them in obtaining employment. This MOU will create a partnership enabling Maricopa County residents who are unable to travel to a One Stop Career Center the ability to access services through an Access Point that is located in their community.
