44. APPLICATION FOR RECERTIFICATION OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY LOCAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD Approve the application for recertification of the Maricopa County Local Workforce Investment Board (LWIB) as required in Section 117 (c)(2) of Title IB of the Workforce Investment Act (the Act) of 1998. The (Act) requires re-certification every two years by Arizona’s Governor in accordance with criteria established in the Act and with State policy. Recertification is approved by the Governor’s Council on Workforce Policy. This non-financial action will not affect the County General funds. (C-22-11-041-M-00)
