44. TERMINATION OF THE MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT FOR THE HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM WITH COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES, INC Approve the termination of the Management and Implementation Agreement (MIA) for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program between Community Legal Services, Inc. and Maricopa County through its Human Services Department. The termination of this agreement, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, is effective November 16, 2010. Sufficient funds from the original contract amount will be held in reserve for 30 days beyond the termination date. These funds will pay for services rendered during the term of the contract. Pursuant to the Suspension and Termination of Agreement, page 15, Section 16, paragraph d, “ either party may terminate this Agreement at any time by giving written notice to the other party of such termination and specifying the effective date thereof at least 30 days before the effective date of such termination.” Community Legal Services is in receipt of the required 30 day notice for termination.
