43. CONTRACT WITH ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACCESS POINT Approve a non-financial agreement with St. Joseph the Worker, a faith-based organization and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to establish St. Joseph the Worker as an Access Point for purposes of Workforce Development activities. This agreement is effective upon signature by both parties and will expire June 30, 2014. Access Points are a network of faith-based and community based organizations that provide residents with a location where job seekers can access abbreviated One Stop Career Center services. As an Access Point, St. Joseph the Worker will assist youth and adult job seekers to access employment-related services to assist them in obtaining employment. This agreement will create a partnership enabling Maricopa County residents; who are unable to travel to a One Stop Career Center, the ability to access services through an Access Point that is located in their community.
