23. REIMBURSEMENT OF FUNDS IN THE HOME PROGRAM Approve a reimbursement to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for questioned HOME Program costs in the amount of $75,495.81. This action will resolve an open monitoring finding from July 23, 2010 and reimburse the HOME Program as stated above. Accept $20,147.90 from the City of Mesa as a partial reimbursement for questioned HOME Program costs as stated above. These funds will be deposited into Non-Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Non-Recurring (0001) to partially offset the $75,495.81 reimbursement being paid to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In addition, pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106(B) transfer FY 2013 expenditure authority of an amount not- to-exceed $75,495.81 within Non-Departmental (470) General Fund (100) Non-Recurring (0001) from the Unreserved Contingency (4711) to a new line in Other Programs (4712) entitled, “HSD Home Program HUD Reimbursement.” These funds may be used by the Human Services Department if they exceed their FY2012-13 General Fund Appropriation as a result of the aforementioned reimbursement. Maricopa County, as the Lead Agency ensures that the Consortium’s HOME program is carried out in compliance with HUD and HOME rules and regulations and is responsible for the administration of the Consortium HOME funds.
