45. IGA WITH HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MARICOPA COUNTY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACCESS POINT Approve a non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement between Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to establish HAMC as an Access Point agency for purposes of Workforce Development activities. This agreement is effective upon signature by both parties and will expire June 30, 2015. Maricopa County, exclusive of the City of Phoenix, is a designated Workforce Investment Area under the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 and operates two One Stop Career Centers. The MWC Investment Board provides oversight of MWC activities. The goal of the board is to provide a comprehensive workforce development system under which Maricopa County residents can access employment related services. (C-22-13-049-3-00)
