43. IGA WITH TEMPE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR HEAD START SERVICES TO PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES Approve the non-financial intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Tempe Elementary School District and Maricopa County Human Services Department to collaboratively provide the Maricopa County Head Start program with services to preschool children with disabilities, as defined in ARS §15-761, who are enrolled in the Head Start program. The Agreement is a three year agreement effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016. The agreement may be renewed for two three year terms with mutual agreement by both parties upon 120 day notification of intent to renew. On termination of the agreement, the Head Start program will reimburse the school district for costs to carpet and paint the classroom at Aguilar Elementary School in an amount not to exceed $6,000. These costs will be paid by the grant and do not affect County General funds. This agreement applies to preschool children with disabilities from ages three to five years who are not eligible for kindergarten in accordance with requirements of the local School District and the Improving Head Start Readiness Act of 2007.
