42. TERMINATION OF IGA WITH ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY Terminate the Intergovernmental Agreement between Arizona Board of Regents, A Body Corporate, for and on Behalf of, Arizona State University and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department, Maricopa Workforce Connections. The agreement is being terminated through mutual agreement as listed in Section I paragraph J. Termination. The agreement is being terminated because the Maricopa Workforce Connections (MWC) Youth Program has been and continues to be restructured as a result of new direction in the Maricopa Workforce Investment Act 5-Year Business Plan for youth program activities and anticipated changes as a result of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act authorization. Evaluation of the existing Youth program would not be feasible at this time. Termination of the agreement is effective upon approval by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This termination does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this agreement termination through a future reconciliation. The unencumbered funds, $103,979.93 will be reallocated within the Youth program. Termination of the IGA does not impact the County General funds. (C-22-13-068-3-02)
