50. LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PORTABLE, PRACTICAL, EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION, INC. FOR USE OF THE MARICOPA WORKFORCE CONNECTIONS ONE-STOP CAREER CENTER Approve, and authorize the Chairman to execute, License Agreement P50233 with Portable, Practical, Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) to allow PPEP to utilize office space and equipment at the Maricopa Workforce Connections (MWC) West Valley One-Stop Career Center. PPEP will initially reimburse the County $301 per month toward their proportionate share of costs associated with the operation of the One-Stop Career Center. The monthly reimbursement amount paid to the County by PPEP will be adjusted for increases in operational costs of the Center. The term of the License Agreement will begin on July 1, 2013 and will expire on June 30, 2015, unless terminated earlier as provided for in the Agreement. Agencies co-located in the One-Stop Career Centers must reimburse the County for their proportionate share of costs for the operation of the Career Centers. All funds collected under this agreement will be applied against the costs associated to the operation of the West Valley One-Stop Career Center. There are no indirect costs collected on this agreement. Any necessary grant adjustments to accommodate this item will be made through a future reconciliation. 39. AMENDMENT TO LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PORTABLE, PRACTICAL, EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION, INC. Approve, and authorize the Chairman to execute, Amendment No. 1 to License Agreement with Portable, Practicable, Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) for use of County leased property at 1840 N. 95th Avenue, Suite 160, Phoenix, AZ 85037, to utilize space and equipment at the Maricopa County Workforce Connections (MWC) West Valley One-Stop Center (the Center). Through this Amendment, PPEP will reimburse the County $275.50 per month toward their proportionate share of costs associated with the operation of the Center. The monthly reimbursement will be adjusted for increases in operational costs of the Center. The Amendment renews the term which will commence July 1, 2015 and expire June 30, 2016, unless terminated earlier as provided in the Agreement. PPEP will have one remaining option to renew for a one-year term. In addition, the East Valley Career Center located at 735 North Gilbert Road, Suite 134, Gilbert, Arizona 85234 (Facility 2) is hereby removed from the License. This Amendment does not impact the County General funds. Agencies co-located in the One-Stop Career Centers must reimburse the County for their proportionate share of costs for the operation of the Career Centers. All funds collected under this agreement will be applied against the costs associated to the operation of the West Valley One-Stop Career Center. FOR USE OF SPACE AND EQUIPMENT Approve, and authorize the Chairman to execute, Amendment No. 2 to License Agreement with Portable, Practical, Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) for use of County leased property at 1840 N. 95th Avenue, Suite 160, Phoenix, AZ 85037, to utilize space and equipment at the Maricopa County Workforce Connections (MWC) West Valley One-Stop Center (the Center). Through this Amendment, PPEP will continue to reimburse the County $275.50 per month toward their proportionate share of costs associated with the operation of the Center. The monthly reimbursement will be adjusted for increases in operational costs of the Center. The Amendment renews the term which will commence July 1, 2016 and expire June 30, 2017, unless terminated earlier as provided in the Agreement. Beginning July 1, 2017, a new lease will need to be established if PPEP desires to utilize space and equipment at the Maricopa County Workforce Connections (MWC) West Valley One-Stop Center (the Center). Agencies co-located in the One-Stop Career Centers must reimburse the County for their proportionate share of costs for the operation of the Career Centers. All funds collected under this agreement will be applied against the costs associated to the operation of the West Valley One-Stop Career Center. 46. TERMINATION OF LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PORTABLE, PRACTICAL, EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION, INC. FOR USE OF REAL PROPERTY Approve the termination of the License Agreement (P50233) for use of Real Property between Portable, Practical, Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. Pursuant to Section 24 Revocation of the original Agreement: this License shall be revoked upon written notice to the other party. Either party may terminate this License at any time for any reason in its sole and absolute discretion with thirty (30) days written notice to the other party. PPEP has provided written notice of their intent to vacate the premises at the Maricopa County One-Stop Career Center located at 1840 N. 95th Ave #160 Phoenix, AZ 85037. The termination of the Agreement effective date is February 3, 2017. (C-22-14-014-L-03)
