46. AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR BACKGROUND CHECKS Approve a non-financial agreement between Arizona Department of Public Safety and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department. Through the agreement DPS will conduct criminal history searches and process fingerprint background checks on potential Head Start program and department employees as required by Title 42 United States Code §9843a and ARS §41-1750. The agreement begins on the date of Board approval and continues until terminated by either party upon thirty days written notice. Information obtained from DPS shall be used to determine the appropriateness of prospective employees, contract employees, or volunteers of the Head Start program and the department.
