41. IGA WITH HIGLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR HEAD START SERVICES TO PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES Approve a non-financial intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Higley Unified School District and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department to collaboratively provide Head Start program activities and services to preschool children with disabilities, as defined in A.R.S. §15-761, who are enrolled in the Head Start program. The Agreement is a three year agreement effective July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016 Maricopa County is the designated Head Start provider outside the City of Phoenix. Head Start program activities are administered by the Human Services Department. Through this agreement, children with disabilities ages three to five years who are not eligible for kindergarten in accordance with requirements of the local School District, will receive Head Start services through the Improving Head Start Readiness Act of 2007.
