37. DONATION FROM ARIZONA CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION FOR THE EMPOWER PLUS PROJECT AN ARIZONA EARLY CARE & EDUCATION LEARNING COLLABORATIVE Accept a $5000 monetary donation (grant), $2,500 now and a future donation of $2,500 to be received at a later date, from the Arizona Child Care Association a non-profit organization in cooperation with the National Early Care and Education Learning Collaborative Project EMPOWER PLUS. These funds will be used to provide Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms materials and supplies. The supplies and materials will assist early care and education (ECE) providers in improving the quality of care they provide to young children with respect to nutrition, breastfeeding support, physical activity and screen time. It is anticipated that each classroom (10) shall receive $500. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. Approval of this action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this donation through a future reconciliation. This donation will not affect the County General Fund. (C-22-14-057-D-00)
