49. TERMINATION OF GROUND LEASE WITH CITY OF BUCKEYE Approve the termination of Ground Lease C-6595 with the City of Buckeye, previously known as the “Town of Buckeye,” for a County owned modular building at previously located at 113 E. Centre Avenue, previously known as 201 Centre Avenue, Buckeye, AZ, and authorize County Real Estate staff to notify the City of the County’s acceptance of the proposed early termination of the ground lease. The ground lease, initiated in February 1988, allowed the County to place a County-owned modular building on City property to house a Head Start Program. The County is no longer utilizing the space and does not have a County-owned modular building located on the property any longer. The lease allows either Party to terminate the agreement upon a 90-day written notice to the other Party via certified mail. The City is requesting the County accept its early termination proposal in the interest of both parties and desires to terminate the lease with the County as of June 30, 2015. (C-22-15-072-1-00)
