44. AMENDMENT TO THE IGA WITH TEMPE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 3 AND THE CITY OF TEMPE Approve financial Amendment No.1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement between Tempe Elementary School District No. 3 (“District”), the City of Tempe (“City”) and Maricopa County (“County”), administered by its Human Services Department Early Education Division. The purpose of the Agreement is to establish a collaboration between the Parties that will address expanding high-quality pre-school in the City of Tempe and the District’s boundaries. The Agreement contains the option to extend the Agreement for two additional 1-year terms. Upon approval of Amendment No. 1, one additional 1-year term remains. The County will provide funding that will help to increase instructional annual hours for enrolled Head Start children. The purpose of the Amendment No. 1 is to address the following: A. The Agreement shall be extended and effective from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. B. The County shall reimburse the City a not to exceed amount of $133,120 for the extension period. The Agreement shall be effective upon approval and signature by all Parties. This Agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original Agreement and Amendments thereto remain the same and in full force and effect as approved and amended. Under this Agreement 20 children ages 3 to 5 will benefit from receiving Head Start program services and activities to prepare children for starting school. Funding for this Agreement is provided by a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families Office of Head Start (09CH010385/C-22-16-011-G). Mesa Drive, Mesa, Arizona and Maricopa County (Lessee). The purpose of the Amendment No. 13 will address the following item:1. The Lessee shall make a one-time payment to Lessor in the amount of Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars and Seventy Cents ($2,387.70

58. AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT WITH FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF MESA Approve Amendment No. 13 to the Lease Agreement (L-7271) with First Presbyterian Church of Mesa (Lessor), an Arizona non-profit corporation located at 161 N. Mesa Drive, Mesa, Arizona and Maricopa County (Lessee). The purpose of the Amendment No. 13 will address the following item: 1. The Lessee shall make a one-time payment to Lessor in the amount of Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars and Seventy Cents ($2,387.70) for reimbursement of half the cost of playground equipment and poured in place rubberized repairs to the playground decking. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this Amendment No. 13. All other terms and conditions of the Lease remain the same and in full force and effect. The effective date of this Amendment No. 13 is the date of execution by Maricopa County. The expenditures for this Amendment shall be funded through the grant provided by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Head Start Program (09CH010385/C-22-16-011-G). This Amendment does not impact the County General Funds. Either Party may terminate the Lease with a 60-day written notice to the other. The current term of the Agreement is through September 30, 2022. The Maricopa County Head Start Program utilizes 2 classrooms to provide Head Start services to 20 (3-5 year old’s) and 8 (1-3 year old’s). Supervisory District: 2 (C-22-99-134-4-13)
