23. IGA WITH GILBERT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR HEAD START PARTNERSHIP Approve a non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement with Gilbert Unified School District and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department Head Start program. The purpose of the Agreement is for the Gilbert Unified School District to provide services to preschool children, including children with disabilities as defined in A.R.S. §15-761, ages three years old to kindergarten-eligible five-year-old, in compliance with federal and State laws and regulations, and in accordance with Gilbert Unified School District policy, and Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007 (42 U.S.C. §§ 9801, et seq.), by referring eligible children to the County’s Head Start program. The Agreement term shall begin on August 1, 2016 and terminate on June 30, 2019 and is effective when fully executed by the Parties. The Agreement may be renewed for two (2) additional three year terms. Pursuant to Section II Special Provisions section D. Changes 3, the County and the District may agree in writing to execute non-substantive changes as follows: a. Work Statement activities reflecting changes in the County’s regulations, policies, or requirements. b. Administrative requirements, such as reporting format quality, and/or quantity, as required by the funding source or the County’s regulations, policies, or requirements. Changes shall be delivered to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County. This agreement does not impact the County General Funds. (C-22-17-007-3-00)
