40. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR ITS STRENGTHENING FAMILIES INITI ATIVE GRANT PROGRAM Approve financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) between City of Phoenix Community & Economic Development Department (COP CEDD) and Maricopa County (County), administered by its Human Services Department. The County and COP CEDD are collectively referred to as the “Parties.” The purpose of the Amendment No. 1 is to address the following: A. Revise Section 1 – Term of the Agreement, Subsection A as modified to include 1 one-year extension option upon written amendment from July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021, (Extension Period). B. Replace Section 2 – Payment, Subsection A to the following, “The total amount to be remitted by the City to the County for all Services satisfactorily performed unde r this Agreement shall be reduced from $523,002 to a not exceed amount of $294,188.76, a reduction of $228,813.24 for the Agreement term and including the ‘Extension Period Reimbursement Ceiling.’” C. Replace Exhibit A. Scope of Work in its entirety and re placed with Exhibit A – Scope of Work. D. Add Appendix A Performance Outcomes to the Agreement for the Extension Period. E. Add Paragraph 37 – “Written Certification under A.R.S. § 35-393.01.” Except as otherwise amended, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement and any prior amendments not in conflict will remain in full force and effect. If there is a conflict or ambiguity among amendments and the Agreement, the most recent amendment will prevail and control if clear and unambiguous; and if not, the original Agreement will govern to the extent necessary to support the intent of the Agreement. The purpose of the Agreement is for the County to provide low-to-middle skilled parents encountering barriers to accessing training and employme nt with opportunities to advance in their careers in high-growth or in-demand H-1B industries while addressing barriers to accessing training and employment faced by those with child care responsibilities. This amendment does not alter the budget constra ining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this Agreement through future grant reconciliation. This Agreement does not impact General Fu nds.
