65. AMENDMENT TO THE IGA WITH CITY OF TEMPE FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES Approve financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between City of Tempe (“City”) and Maricopa County (“County”), administered by its Human Services Department (MCHSD). The purpose of the Agreement is to integrate the County’s workforce development system into the City’s social and community services resource network. Service activities shall be delivered within Escalante Community Center (“Community Center”) located at 2150 East Orange Street, Tempe, Arizona 85281 and within Tempe Public Library (“Tempe Library”) located at 3500 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona 85282. A Workforce Development staff will be utilized to provide services under this Agreement, as a Workforce Development Coordinator (“WDC”). The Agreement contains extension options for two (2) additional 3-year terms. Upon approval of Amendment No.1, one renewal term remains. The City of Tempe will share 50% of the cost of personnel salary and related expenses for the administration and operation of the program. The purpose of Amendment No. 1 is to address the following: A. Extend the Agreement Termination Date from June 30, 2022 to June 30, 2025 (“Extension Period No. 1”). B. Revise paragraph 6.0 (Funding) subparagraph 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5, to address funding for this Amendment period. C. Add language to paragraph 10.0 (Responsibilities of Organizations). D. Update paragraph 12.0 (Notices). E. Add Attachment A, which modifies the Itemized Service Budget. Two Workforce Development staff will be utilized to provide services under this Agreement, a Workforce Development Youth Career Guidance Specialist (YCGS) and a Workforce Development Coordinator (WDC).
