61. AMENDMENT TO IGA CITY OF TEMPE FOR TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Tempe (City) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department (County), the “Parties” or individually the “Party.” The purpose of the Amendment is to address the following: 1. Revise the Purpose of the Agreement; 2. Revise from non-financial to financial in nature and add that the County shall provide the City with $121,859; 3. Extend the term of the Agreement from July 26, 2020 to September 30, 2020 4. Revise Section 6.0 of the Agreement (Responsibilities) to include: a. The City shall procure hotel space as temporary housing to prevent exposure to the COVID-19 health pandemic for individuals experiencing homelessness. The City shall be responsible for procurement and management of security services; b. Refer individuals to the facility for placement; c. Develop check-in, check-out processes and provide case management services; d. The County shall reimburse the City up to 10 hotel rooms that are occupied by homeless individuals, an amount not-to-exceed $71,627; e. The County shall reimburse the City for security services to be provided in the specified hotel location a not-to-exceed amount of $50,232. 5. Add to Section 6 (RESPONSIBILITES) 6.4 Invoicing and Reimbursement process for each Party. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect as executed by the Parties. Supervisory District: 1 & 2 (C-22-20-037-3 )
