APPOINTMENTS AND RESIGNATION OF MARICOPA COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD MEMBERS Request approval for the following actions regarding the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB) as set forth below: 1. Appoint Brent Downs to the Workforce Representative Category serving as a Community Based Organization for the term effective upon Board approval to June 30, 2023. 2. Appoint Marcia J. Veidmark to the Business Representative Category - Small Business representative serving as a business owner in the construction industry for the term effective upon Board approval to June 30, 2023. 3. Appoint Erik Edward Cole to the Education and Training Representative Category serving as the Higher Education representative for the term effective upon Board approval to June 30, 2023. 4. Appoint Christine Colon, to the Governmental, Economic, and Community Development Category serving as the Vocational Rehabilitation representative for the term effective upon approval to June 30, 2023. 5. Accept the resignation of Charisse Ward, Arizona Department of Economic Security Vocational Rehabilitation in the Government, Economic, and Community Development Category. The MCWDB is established and receives its authority in accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which was signed into law on July 22, 2014 as Public Law 113-128. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) shall have final authority. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approves the appointments and accepts the resignations of MCWDB members.
