44. IGA WITH THE CITY OF MESA FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE Appro ve a financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Mesa (“Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department. Through this Agreement the Subrecipient will provide rental assistance to residents in the City of Mesa and surrounding geographic area, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The County shall provide the Subrecipient with $6,250,000 to provide rental assistance services. The Agreement term shall begin retroactively on September 16, 2020 through December 30, 2020. The funding for this Agreement is provided by the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 21.019 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136 allocated to Maricopa County. This Agreement may be extended for one (1) six-month term, provided the Subrecipient is in compliance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement This Amendment is subject to the provisions of A.R.S. §38-511. The County is empowered by A.R.S. §§ 11-201, 11-251 and 11-952 to enter into this Agreement and has delegated to the undersigned the authority to execute this Agreement on behalf of the County. The Subrecipient is empowered by A.R.S. §§ 9-240, 9-500.11, 11-952, and 46-241, et seq. to enter into this Agreement and ha s by resolution delegated to the undersigned the authority to execute this Agreement on behalf of the Subrecipient. This Agreement shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties. FY2021: $6,250,000 Expenditures Supervisor Districts: 1 & 2 (C-22-21-044-X-00)
