AGREEMENT WITH TEMPE COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Approve a financial Agreement (Agreement) between the Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) and Maricopa County (County), administered by its Human Services Department, Workforce Development Division for workforce development services. TCAA and the County are collectively referred to herein as the “Parties” and individually as “Party.” The Agreement shall begin October 7, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The A greement may be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon acceptance and approval by the Parties. The purpose of this Agreement is to integrate the County’s workforce development system into the TCAA’s social and community services resource network. The Parties goal is to support workforce development activities and training to enable TCAA participants to secure employment. agree to support workforce development and training efforts that will enable TCAA’s to provide adult and youth job sear ch, career opportunity research, resume assistance and conducts skill readiness evaluations and assessments, categorically identified as workforce services. Service activities shall be delivered within the TCAA’s resource area located at 2146 East Apache B oulevard, Tempe, AZ 85281 (“TCAA’s resource area”). A Workforce Development staff will be utilized to provide services under this Agreement, as a Career Advisor (CA). TCAA shall reimburse the County for a portion of the County Career Advisor’s salary for the Agreement term not to exceed $18,332. The Agreement is a one-time Agreement and the County does not have any obligations at the end of the Agreement term. The Human Services Department approved provisional indirect rate for FY2021 is 22.2% from the U .S. Department of Health and Human Services for salaries and employee related expenses. The Agreement funding amount is $18,332 of which $15,002 is for salaries and employee related expenses. The estimated recoverable indirect rate costs are $3,330 and ful ly recoverable. Budget adjustments will be made when the Indirect rate costs has been fully negotiated and shall be effective on October 7, 2020. Funds received from this Agreement do not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly a dopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this Agreement through future grant reconciliation. This Agreement does not contain General Funds.
