55. AGREEMENT WITH VALLEY OF THE SUN UNTIED WAY FOR COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT Approve a financial Contract between Valley of the Sun United Way (VSUW) and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department (County). The purpose of the Agreement is for VSUW to complete a Community Needs Assessment and develop a comprehensive report. Maricopa County is required by Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) to complete a Community Needs Assessment as a component of the strategic planning process for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The Community Needs Assessment, through a process of gathering data and engaging community stakeholders, will provide a foundation for establishing priorities and determining future direction for service delivery. The County shall provide VSUW with a not-to-exceed amount $50,000. The term of the Agreement is November 18, 2020 through June 30, 2021 and shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties. This Agreement is subject to the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511. FY2021: $50,000 Expenditure. Supervisory District: All (C-22-21-060-X-00)
