41. AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS FOR AND ON BEHALF OF NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY FOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Approve a non-financial Affiliation Agreement (Agreement) with Arizona Board of Regents for and on behalf of Northern Arizona University (“School”) for Internship Student Placement and Maricopa County (“Facility”) administered by the Human Services Department. Through this Agreement, School Interns shall be provided with supervised practice educational experiences with the Head Start program. Interns are provided with training opportunities that may include assessments and observations in the following areas: • Observe the unique ages and stages of children birth to five • Observe case management strategies, including time management and caseload priority • Provide direct support of children’s social emotional development • Observe and co-facilitate family needs assessment • Observe and co-facilitate child assessment including Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG), Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA), Family Maps (FMAPS) The term of this Agreement shall be for a period of five (5) years from the effective date (February 24, 2021 through February 23, 2026). The County may, at its option and with the agreement of the School, renew the term of this Agreement for additional terms up to a maximum of five (5) years. Approval of this item will not impact the County General Fund. Supervisory District: All (C-22-21-089-X-00)
