34. DONATION TO HEAD START PROGRAM In accordance with County Policy A2508, accept the donation report from the Human Services Department. The Human Services Department, Early Education Division - Head Start program applied for and received a $2,000 donation (Grant) from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Deseret Industries for Head Start program families to receive vouchers to obtain household furniture and household items. The Head Start program will issue vouchers to families that identify a need for household items. The Head Start program can utilize the vouchers through March 31, 2022, as long as the vouchers issued do not exceed the $2,000 dollar limit issued to the County. Receipt of the donations does not require in-kind, match or future or ongoing contributions by the County. The Head Start program will encourage recipients of the vouchers to volunteer in their community to enhance safe communities through civic engagement. Recipients are not required to volunteer in their community. (C-22-21-100-X-00)
