66. AGREEMENT WITH NEWTOWN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER FOR HOME FUNDED ACTIVITIES Approve a financial Agreement (“Agreement”) between the Newtown Community Development Corporation, a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), the City of Chandler (Administrator) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is for the acquisition and rehabilitation of two (2) single-family houses in Chandler. The completed homes will be sold to eligible low-income homebuyers. The County will provide the CHDO with U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)) funds in the amount not-to-exceed $212,987. Agreement term shall begin July 1, 2021 and will expire September 30, 2023. Per Section 2 (Special Provisions), Paragraph 19.0 (General Conditions), Subparagraph 19.1 (Administrative Change Orders) request authorization for the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to approve and execute upon the recommendation of the Human Services Department Director and Legal Counsel to make changes within the general scope of the Agreement on behalf of the County through Administrative Change Orders. Administrative Change Orders shall be approved and fully executed by the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and the authorized representative for the CHDO. Change Orders/Administrative Changes will receive legal review and will be filed with the Clerk of the Board’s office upon full execution.
