77. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH EAST VALLEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (EVIT) Approve and execute the Amendment No. 1 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) (G30233) between Maricopa County (County) and East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) for 5,350 square feet of Head Start classrooms and playground area located at 1601 West Main St., Mesa, Arizona. This Amendment extends the IGA term for ten (10) years, commencing upon the Tenant Improvements (TIs) completion date, at the annual rental rate of $25,000. EVIT authorizes the County to make TIs to the space utilized by the Head Start program. TIs include the following: 1. Make improvements to the playground area: replace rubberized surface, upgrades to irrigation system and replacing fence and gate. 2. Make improvements to the classrooms: replacing carpet in common areas, replacing flooring tiles, install cabinets and cabinet structures with locking mechanisms, new door installation, install faucets and drinking fountain filters. The County shall utilize a County contractor under 190126 General Maintenance and Repair Services Contract to complete the TIs. The anticipated expenditures for the TIs shall not to exceed $305,000 which will be paid by the County. This Amendment does not impact General Funds.
