118. COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE CONTRACT WITH NORTH BLACK CANYON HOSPITALITY, LLC Approve a Competition Impracticable Contract (220181-CI) between North Black Canyon Hospitality, LLC (“Contractor”), and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Contract is for the County to use 147 hotel rooms to house COVID-19 positive or quarantined individuals experiencing homelessness. Individuals will receive nursing and medical care while located in the hotel. Housing COVID positive homeless individuals in the hotel will reduce the likelihood of spreading COVID 19 and will allow individuals to recuperate in a safe, clean environment. The County will reimburse the Contractor $80 per room per night, $100 per room that is sanitized after the room is vacated. Funds for this Contract will be provided by Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 81.135 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The anticipated spend for this Contract shall not exceed $2,600,000. The Contract term is December 20, 2021 through June 30, 2022. This Agreement shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties. 33. INCREASE IN MASTER AGREEMENT #220181-COMPETIT ION IMPRACTICABLE WITH NORTH BLACK CANYON HOSPITALITY, LLC Approve an increase to Master Agreement #220181 for the contract between Maricopa County (County) administered by its Human Services Department and North Black Canyon Hospitality, LLC (“Contractor”) for use of 147 hotel rooms at the Extend A Suites located at 8101 North Black Canyon Hwy Phoenix, 85021 to provide non congregate shelter to homeless individuals. The original estimated not to exceed amount of the contract was $2,600,000. It is being requested that an additional $5,290,000 be added to the contract, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $7,890,000. The contract term began December 20, 2021, thro ugh June 30, 2024. Funds for this Contract are provided by Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 21.027 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Supervisor Districts: All (C-22-22-053-X-02)
