IGA WITH THE CITY OF SURPRISE FOR ARPA FUNDS Approve a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) between the City of Surprise (Subrecipient) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is for the County to provide Subrecipient with $18,000 ,000 in Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 21.027, American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds provided to the County through the U.S. Department of Treasury. The funds will be utilized to build a general administr ation building for City of Surprise services to include a multi-generational Community Resource Center (“CRC”). Services provided in the building will help to strengthen the immediate and long-term health and economic resilience of residents in the northwe st valley, fostering a stronger, more inclusive and equitable recovery for the northwest valley. The Agreement term begins on April 1, 2022 through December 31, 2025. Also request authorization for the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to approve and execute Administrative Change Orders upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director and Legal Counsel as identified in Paragraph 5 (ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGE ORDERS). 82. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH CITY OF SURPRISE FOR RESOURCE CENTER Approval of non-financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) between the City of Surprise (Subrecipient) and Maricopa County (County), administered by its Human Services Department. The County and the Subrecipient collectively are referred to as the “Parties.” The purpose of the Agreement is for the Subrecipient to build a General Administration building for the City of Surprise to include a multigenerational Community Resource Center (“CRC”). The County provided the Subrecipient with $18,000,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State and Local fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) under ALN 21.027, provided to the County by the US Department of Treasury. The Agreement term is April 1, 2022, through December 31, 2025. The purpose of the Amendment is to address the following: A. Extend the term of the Agreement from December 31, 2025, through December 31, 2026. B. Update County Point of Contact C. Update and add required Agreement language All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect as executed by the Parties.
