ASSIGNMENT OF U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE FUNDS TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT Request approval and receipt of Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA 2) funds from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The Department of Treasury assigned the funds to the Human Services Department DUNS Number 050391270, Assistance Listing Number and Title 21.023 Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The funding amount is $2,485,134.52. The total ERA 2.0 funding is now $23,504,592.80. Also request approval and authorization for the Human Services Department Director to submit reports and sign required documents required by the Department of Treasury for these designated funds. Section 3201(a) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Pu b. L. No. 117-2 (March 11, 2021), authorizes the Department of the Treasury to make payment to certain eligible grantees to be used to provide emergency rental assistance. On March 18, 2022, the Department of Treasury provided notification via email of the funding allocation to the County. The total funding will be utilized to assist eligible renter households impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, with direct financial assistance including rent, rental arrears, utilities and home energy costs, utilities and home energy costs arears, and other expenses related to housing.
