38. AMENDMENT TO THE IGA WITH THE CITY OF MESA FOR EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE Approve financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Mesa (“Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is for the Subrecipient to provide Emergency Rental Assistance to residents in the City of Mesa and its unincorporated areas, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the Amendment is to address the following: A. Revise the term of the Agreement to August 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022. B. Increase the Agreement funding amount by $23,000, from $5,500,000 to $5,523,000. Funding for this Amendment shall be provided under the Catalogue of Federal Domestic Assistance (CDFA) 21.023 American Rescue Plan Act Emergency Rental Assistance provided to the County through the U.S. Department of Treasury. C. Increase the amount the Subrecipient may expend on providing rental assistance to eligible residents by $323,000, from $5,000,000 to $5,323,000. D. Decrease the amount the Subrecipient may expend on administrative costs by $300,000, from $500,000 to $200,000. E. The Subrecipient shall submit all invoices prior to February 28, 2022. The Amendment shall be effective upon approval and signature by the Parties. FY2022: $23,000 Expenditures Supervisor Districts: 2 (C-22-22-161-X-01)
