73. SUBMITTAL OF CHILD CARE STABILIZATION GRANT TO ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY AND DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY Request approval for the following actions: 1. Authorize the Human Services Department Director or designee to submit grant applications to Department of Economic Security Division of Child Care for additional Child Care Stabilization Grant (CCSG) for the Head Start Program. 2. Approve the receipt of Receipt of Grant funds, the estimated total amount is $2,184,000 for the period beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The CCSG Workforce Amount funds will be ut ilized for recruitment and retention activities. These funds are made available to Arizona through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) relief funding appropriated through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), 2021. The Human Services Department will submit 28 online applications, one for each Department of Health Services Licensed Head Start Program site. Applications must be submitted to DES before June 30th. Anticipated funds per site is $6,500 per month. The funds will be utilized to pay for increasing wages, employee benefits, or other recruitment and retention activities located in the 28 Head Start Program sites.
