47. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF GILBERT FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES Approve a financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Gilbert (“Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is to improve housing conditions and increase affordable housing in the Gilbert area. The Subrecipient shall acquire and rehabilitate three (3) homes, to be sold to low-to-moderate income homebuyers through a community land trust. This project will supply safe affordable housing and increase homeownership opportunities for individuals and families in need of permanent housing. This project meets the goals set by the Board of Supervisors to create affordable housing opportunities through the County’s investment of $130 Million of American Rescue Plan Act funds. The County shall provide the Subrecipient with $450,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds under the Assistance Listing Number 21.027. The Agreement is retroactive to November 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025. Also request authorization for the Chairman to approve and execute Administrative Change Orders upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director and Legal Counsel as identified in Section 5.0 (Administrative Change Orders).
