49. IGA WITH THE CITY OF CHANDLER FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES Approve a financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Chandler (“Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is to expand affordable housing in the Chandler area. The City will develop two (2) new construction rental developments. One project is located at 73 S. Hamilton St. and will consist of an estimated 300 affordable rental units. The other project is Villas on McQueen and will be 157 units that will target seniors, veterans, families, and disabled. The goal of the project is to revitalize the community and provide decent, safe housing. The County shall provide the Subrecipient with $10,000,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds under the Assistance Listing Number 21.027. The Agreement is retroactive to November 1, 2023, through November 30, 2026. Also request authorization for the Chairman to approve and execute Administrative Change Orders upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director and Legal Counsel as identified in Section 5.0 (Administrative Change Orders).
