56. IGA WITH TOWN OF GILA BEND FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ACTIVITIES Approve a financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Gila Bend (“Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department (“County). The purpose of this Agreement is to improve drinking water quality for the Town of Gila Bend residents by removing asbestos cement pipe. The Subrecipient shall facilitate design, engineering, and construction to replace 1,635 LF of asbestos cement pipe with C-900 PVC, comprising three different segments. The project will benefit approximately 575 residents in the Town of Gila Bend. The County will provide the Subrecipient with $497,000 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year/Fiscal Year 2023/2024 (PY/FY 23/24) funds under Assistance Listing Number 14.218. The term of this Agreement is retroactive, beginning February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2026. Also request authorization for the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to approve and execute Change Orders/Administrative Changes as listed in Section 1 General Provisions, Paragraph 5.0.
