43. EQUIPMENT AND ASSET DISPOSITION Request authorization to dispose of the assets assigned to the Maricopa County Human Services Department and listed on the Department Asset Inventory list. The Department will have items picked up and disposed of through the County’s Surplus Disposition process. Items were acquired utilizing funds provided through Intergovernmental Agreements with Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title 1 B and grants provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS). The items for disposition are no longer useable and require repairs that exceed the costs of the items. Disposition of items include audio visual systems, Computer Servers and Mondo pads. Approval of this action will allow the Maricopa County Human Services Department to dispose of items and have them removed from the Department’s Asset Inventory list. The disposition of the assets will result in a net decrease in the Human Services Department Asset Inventory list as referenced in Exhibit A Asset Disposition List. As prescribed by Federal Regulations, in accordance with 41 CFR 102-36.305 (d) Disposing of personal property – “If a written determination is made that the property has no commercial value or the estimated costs of its continued care and handling would exceed the estimated proceeds from its sale, you may dispose of the property by abandonment or destruction, or donate it to public bodies.” Supervisor District: All (C-22-24-091-X-00)
