64. ASSET DISPOSITION AND DONATION OF HEAD START PROGRAM PLAYGROUND ITEMS TO STILLPOINTE EARLY EDUCATIONAL SERVICES LLC DBA GARDEN CITY Request authorization to dispose of and donate playground shade structures and installed playground soft ground cover (referred to as “playground items”) to Stillpointe Early Educational Services LLC Dba Garden City, an Arizona corporation, located at Garden City Child Development Center, 406 N. 1st Street, Buckeye, AZ. The playground item were purchased by Maricopa County Head Start Program in April/May 2016 utilizing grant funds from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Head Start. Improvements to the playground were required to ensure Head Start performance standards were met. Garden City contracted with the County as a Head Start Childcare provider from June 2015 through July 31, 2024. Due to the age of the playground items, moving them to another location is cost prohibitive, the Human Services Department requests disposition and donation of the playground items to Stillpointe Early Educational Services LLC Dba Garden City. Approval of this action will result in a net decrease in the Human Services Department Asset Inventory list. Playground improvements include: •2 Shade structures •Playground improvements: play structure, ground preparation, sand removal and groundcover surfacing The Human Services Department submitted a request to the Office of Head Start through the TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY REPORT Disposition Request/Report SF-428-C and received approval on October 15, 2024, to dispose of the listed property.
