63. ASSET DISPOSITION AND DONATION OF HEAD START PROGRAM PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS TO HARRIS ELEMENTARY Request authorization to dispose of and donate playground improvements made to Harris Elementary, located at 1820 South Harris Drive, Mesa AZ. Maricopa County Head Start Program provided Head Start services at this location through June 2019. The playground improvements were purchased by Maricopa County Head Start Program in August 2016 utilizing grant funds from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Head Start. Playground improvements to the location were required to ensure Head Start performance standards were met. The Human Services Department requests disposition and donation of the playground improvements at Harris Elementary. Approval of this action will result in a net decrease in the Human Services Department Asset Inventory list. Playground Improvements include the installation of the following items: •250 ft. of fence with two 5-foot gates •1500 Sq. Ft. fill dirt to include 12-inch depth of sand •2-foot-wide concrete path around playground area •20 ft x 30 ft Metal canopy •12 ft x 12 ft concrete pad The Human Services Department submitted a request to the Office of Head Start through the TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY REPORT Disposition Request/Report SF-428-C and received approval on October 15, 2024, to dispose of the listed property.
