33. ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE ARIZONA CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMISSION FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF FUNDS PURSUANT TO THE NICS ACT RECORDS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. Approve the agreement with the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission for Reimbursements and acceptance of up to $65,567.25 in reimbursement funding for Maricopa County Justice Courts (MCJC) purchase of Live Scan Equipment that will allow the courts to capture fingerprints electronically. The FFY24 reimbursement funding eligibility began retroactively on December 6, 2023, and will terminate on September 30, 2025. The agreement allows a reimbursement of funds up to a total of $65,587.25 to the Maricopa County Justice Courts (MCJC) for the purchase and deployment of seven (7) mobile Livescans. The Live scan equipment will upgrade the current MCJC procedures from an after-the-fact court summons process for fingerprinting, to an electronic fingerprint capture while the subject is still in the court. The enhanced process will enhance the biometric ten print fingerprint record, reduce case processing time, and facilitate enhance the accuracy of court records. (C-24-24-008-X-00)
