7. APPLY AND ACCEPT CONSTABLE TRAINING GRANT Approve the application and acceptance of grant funds from the Constables Ethics, Standards and Training Board, (CESTB CNA09-86), in the amount of $9,600.00 for the purpose of providing training funds for the Maricopa County Constables Department. This grant will provide travel, lodging, per diem and registration expenses for the Constables attending the National Constable Association Conference in Dallas/Ft. Worth on March 10 – 14th, 2010. The training sessions will cover mandatory training as required by A.R.S. 22-137 (D). The grant period begins on the date the agreement is signed by both parties and ends on June 30, 2010. Pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17106(B), approve revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustments to the FY 2009-10 Constables (250) General (100) Non-Recurring/Non Project (0001) budget in the amount of $9,600 for FY 2009-10. Authorize the Chairman to sign all documents related to these grant funds, as applicable. The grant allows a 0% rate for indirect costs or $0 which may be incurred by the Constables or Maricopa County for administration of this grant. The Maricopa County Department of finance has calculated the Constables’ composite cost rate at 10.9% or $1,047.00. The non-recoverable indirect cost is $1,047.00. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. This budget adjustment does alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. (C-25-10-005-G-00)
