36. CONSTABLE FIRST AND SECOND TERM PAY ADJUSTMENT Pursuant to ARS §42-17106(B), authorize the following adjustment to the FY 2021 budget: 1. Increase the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) in the line “Constable Salary Increase” (4711) by an amount of $70,468. 2. Decrease the expenditure authority in the Constables (D250) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) appropriation by an amount of $70,468. 3. Authorize the Budget Office to include a Recommended Budget Adjustment of $142,575 for the full year impact of the pay decrease. 4. Increase the expenditure authority for the Constables (D250) General Fund (100) Non Recurring (NRNP) appropriation by an amount of $5,975 for ballistic vests, shirts, pants, jackets, badges, and hats for the newly elected Constables. 5. Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Non Recurring (NRNP) in the line “Unreserved Contingency” (4711) by an amount of $5,975. Constables receive a salary increase from $48,294 to $67,000 upon their election to a second term, pursuant to the pay plan adopted by the Board of Supervisors. Five Constables were elected to their first term requiring a decrease in salary. One Constable will be appointed to the first term requiring a decrease in salary. Three Constables were reelected to their third or more term and have no salary change. One Constable was reelected to his second term in November 2020 requiring an increase in salary. The following Constable/Precinct was reelected for his second term: James Rich 2524 Desert Ridge Precinct The following Constables/Precincts were elected for their first term: Carl Seel 2512 Moon Valley Precinct Luke Palmer 2515 Highland Precinct Denice Garcia 2509 Maryvale Precinct Jon Curtis 2510 North Mesa Precinct Rhys Torres 2511 Dreamy Draw Precinct The following Precinct will be appointed for the first term: 2507 Ironwood Precinct (C-25-21-002-X-00)
