30. CONSTABLE FIRST AND SECOND TERM PAY ADJUSTMENT Pursuant to ARS §42-17106(B), authorize the following adjustment to the FY 2023 budget: 1. Decrease the expenditure authority for the Non Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) in the line “Constable Salary Increase” (4711) by an amount of $66,364. 2. Increase the expenditure authority in the Constables (D250) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) appropriation by an amount of $66,364. Authorize the Office of Budget and Finance to include an FY 2024 Baseline Budget Adjustment of $66,875 in Constables (D250) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) for the full year impact of the pay increases. Constables receive a salary increase from $48,294 to $67,000 upon their election to a second term, pursuant to the pay plan adopted by the Board of Supervisors. Six Constables were reelected to their second terms in November 2022 requiring an increase in salary. Six Constables were reelected to their third or more term and have no salary change. One Constable was elected to his first term requiring a decrease in salary. Four Constables were elected to their first term requiring no change in salary. One Constable will be appointed requiring a decrease in salary. One Constable will be appointed with no change in salary. The following precincts have Constables who were reelected to their second terms with increases in salary: Downtown Justice Precinct North Valley Justice Precinct San Marcos Justice Precinct South Mountain Justice Precinct University Lakes Justice Precinct West Mesa Justice Precinct The following precincts have Constables who were reelected to a four-year term with no change in salary: Agua Fria Justice Precinct Encanto Justice Precinct Hassayampa Justice Precinct Manistee Justice Precinct McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct White Tank Justice Precinct The following precinct has one Constable who was elected to a first term with a decrease in position salary: East Mesa Justice Precinct The following precincts have Constables who were elected to their first term with no change in position salary: Arrowhead Justice Precinct Ironwood Justice Precinct Kyrene Justice Precinct West McDowell Justice Precinct (C-25-23-003-X-00)
