35. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH ARIZONA HEALTH CARE COST CONTAINTMENT SYSTEM FOR PAYMENT SERVICES Approve Amendment No. 8 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) (YH08-0073) and Maricopa County through the Department of Correctional Health Services in the not-to-exceed amount of $196,887.44. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement for a twelve (12) month period. This amendment is effective from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. All other terms and conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement not amended hereby remain in full force and effect as previously approved and amended. This agreement is for third party claims payment services provided by AHCCCS to Correctional Health Services (CHS). AHCCCS processes all outside provider claims incurred due to the inmate/patient population needing medical services from a health care provider outside of the jail system. These inmates/patients are currently booked into the jail population and under the care of CHS. CHS provides many services on site, but does not provide inpatient acute hospitalization, certain specialty care, or emergency and urgent care services as examples. (C-26-16-007-3-00)
