17. JUVENILE PROBATION DIVERSION RESTITUTION FUND TRANSFER Approve an operating fund transfer of $50,000 from the Juvenile Probation Grant Fund (227) to the Juvenile Restitution Fund (229). Also, in accordance with ARS 42-17106(B), authorize the following amendment to the FY 2017-2018 Revised Budget: 1) Increase the FY 2018 revenue and expenditure appropriation for Juvenile Probation (D270) Restitution Fund (229) Operating (OPER) by $50,000. 2) Approve offsetting decreases to the revenue and expenditure eliminations in the Eliminations Department (D980) Eliminations Fund (990) Operating (OPER). These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero, and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to ARS 42-14105. The transfer from AOC Diversion grant ($25,000) and AOC Treatment grant ($25,000) to the JCORPS Restitution fund is in recognition of new protocol to allow diversion youth to participate in existing Restitution Earning projects to aid in compensation for victims. Moving forward, opportunities will be sought for diversion youth who otherwise would be unable to earn restitution monies due to age or other restrictions prohibiting them from working.
